I have joined this program about 18 months back. Initially it was for fun only. With the time I started realizing power of this program and how can I contribute in a more meaningful manner.
The best review which I have written so far was that of the Universal Studios Singapore. It was watched by thousands of the people and liked by many. This was one of my first few reviews and with the kind of response I got for this review it made me passionate about Google Local Guide Program.
Since then I have come a long way and realized that its not only about writing reviews and posting picture and getting points. The real objective should be to write the best possible review which really help the reader. Post the most meaningful pictures and videos which give the feel of the place to the viewer and provide the most accurate location to the people.
The best way to provide the location of any place is to update the location right from the place itself.
Another review which I want to tell you is of Ansari Tyre Puncture, this is a very small but very useful shop in my locality. No one really know about this shop much. I posted the location and pictures on Google Map for the first time and believe me now this shop is quite popular in the area and the owner is also thankful to me and told me that now people are coming to his shop by searhing through Google Map.
So from Univarsal Studios Singapore to Ansari Tyre Puncture shop, I have come a long way and for Google Map no one is big or small, its only the correct location and correct review which really matter.
Now I am focussing more on small businesses and making efforts to bring them on Google Map. Whatever may happen I will keep on contributing on Google Map simply because I love it.
