Reviews have become increasingly important in our contemporary globalized community. On the other hand, the growth of the internet and all its applianced makes being completely honest many times easier but also questionable. Nevertheless, there is a huge range of opportunities to be clear about your experience and potentially help someone else. Being able to voice your opinion is essential and that is why I love being a local guide. I love the feeing of contributing to the community, even if it is with a few words on how my experience was at a coffeeshop I always wanted to try or with a couple pictures of the location to help people decide if they want to go there or not. Besides the enchantment of making memories for myself of all the great places I’ve been to and even what are some features to avoid before going somewhere new, the general feeling that someone may read my review and be inspired to improve their own spaces or make a more educated decision on whether or not to go somewhere is extremely satisfying to me. I believe that in the world today we need (just as we have always needed) to have the feeling that we are getting real opinions, from one real person to another, without being manipulated by marketing or different orientations leading into profit only. Being a local guide provides me with that opportunity.
