From one coast to another

Before Seattle became home, I spent most of my life growing up in one city. Traveled around for work, in and out of the country but could never stand being away from this special place for more than a month. It’s a city I can never let go of, no matter where I am. This city is Karachi. It is the largest city in Pakistan and is located on the coast of Arabian Sea.

Two years ago, I moved to another coast in a completely different part of the world. Seattle. Not a single day goes by that I do not miss Karachi but it’s moslty because I find so many similarities between the two cities. The smell of air, the water, the boats, the seafood and more importantly the feel of belonging somewhere.

There’s surely no place like home. And home is what you make of it.
