As I stroll through Pune’s local market on Diwali, I can’t help but be captivated by the enchanting aura. The whole city is aglow with a symphony of lights, and the shops are a burst of colors and festive delights. From traditional lamps to delectable sweets and the latest fashion trends, it’s a sensory delight. But what touches my heart the most is the sight of families and friends coming together, their laughter creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. Diwali works its magic on Pune, turning it into a city of dreams, and my first Diwali here feels even more special. The warmth and nostalgia of celebrating Diwali in my hometown for many years are treasured memories. Yet, my first Diwali in Pune offers a different kind of celebration - it’s like being embraced by a new friend. The welcome and the sense of belonging here add an extra layer of happiness and depth to this cherished experience

Yes, totally agree with you that Pune is vibrant during Diwali and everywhere you can colorful lighting and shops are full with new stocks and customers too.

A special feature of the Diwali in Pune is the Fort Modeling Competition that is held every year.
Kids of all ages participate in this competition and scaled-down models of the various forts of Maharashtra:
