From Electrical Engineer to Youtuber: How Local Guides Transformed me.

Since I´ve started using the Local Guides Program, I wanted to help people find a truthfull and acurated evaluation of restaurants. Been myself a food lover and a constant searcher of new places to try, those kinds of comments were very usefull to me, so I tried to give back to the community the tipe of information that was valiable to me. In the beginning it was a very unpretentious hobby, although my descriptions were always detailed and honest, since i cherish the quality of online content.

Over time, the number of viewers grew exponentially and I found myself guiding thousands of people and having a big impact on their choices. I think one of the reasons is that I´m a very communicative person who loves to exchange experiences and interact with new people. But above all, I love good food!

This surprised me a lot and encouraged me to create my own youtube channel, called “Jacónhecendo”. The channel aims to evaluate and recomend restaurants, hotel, bars, places and services in general.

This project is recently born, but, undoubtfully, my previous experience assessing places, services and restaurant trough the Local Guides Program prepared me to persue a skill i have, or at least i think i have, that is communicating to the public through social medias to suggest new and nice places and share good experiences. By creating the “Jacónhecendo”, I expect to encourage other people to try new things and experiment the many possibilities this big world provides us.

So, to sum up, I´m basically doing what I love (eating, drinking and traveling) while sharing my experiences with my public. That´s the definition of living the dream and that is what the Local Guides program means to me!
