Every Friday, Google Moderators highlight the best posts they found to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. These are posts detailing past experiences that we hope will serve as entertainment and inspiration for your future bucket list. This week, wonderful contributions, an eco-friendly café, and more.
@TsekoV : Right from the title, I was intrigued by @KingLionheart ’s post “What is your most wonderful contribution?” and curious to find out what examples the Local Guide had given. There were two stories of restaurants she had added and reviewed on Maps—one in Japan and one in the Netherlands—that now have hundreds of contributions and positive feedback. With one simple act, @KingLionheart helped the owners gain more visibility and improved the map, which made her feel so happy! So, what is your most wonderful contribution? Make sure to share it under this post.
@BorrisS : As someone who cares deeply about the environment, this week, I chose for you the post “Kafe Temu: a Green lifestyle Café” by @doc_dells . In it, she describes her visit to the eco-friendly Kafe Temu in Indonesia, whose leading concept is recycling and sustainability. People can drop off plastic bottles there and get a free drink as a thank-you for doing it! Deliana also shared photos of the café’s front and interior and her fantastic review, packed with helpful details. Learn more about the place in her post and tell us if there are similar spots in your area.
@LilyanaZ : @HiroyukiTakisawa ’s amazing #monthlytopic initiative has inspired many interesting stories from Local Guides on Connect. His latest post, “An uncommon breakfast restaurant in my region - #monthlytopic, A shop where you can have breakfast,” is a perfect addition to the series and my favorite this week. In it, we learn that eggs Benedict and falafel aren’t usually on the brunch menu in Iwate Prefecture, Japan, but there is a shop in Morioka that serves them. And they are delicious! The beautiful photos perfectly demonstrate the tasty experience Hiroyuki had. If you love brunch as much as I do, you’ll enjoy his post!
