Every Friday, Google Moderators highlight the best posts they found to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. These are posts detailing past experiences that we hope will serve as entertainment and inspiration for your future bucket list. This week, underwater adventures, magical meadows, and more.
@Giu_DiB : This week, I was happy to discover a new wonderful place thanks to @Sarbland 's post “The Land of Fairies | Fairy Meadows.” We join him on a breathtaking journey to the Fairy Meadows at the very foot of Pakistan’s second-highest peak, Nanga Parbat, which is also the world’s ninth-highest mountain. If you want to find out how to get to this magical location, see mesmerizing photos, and immerse yourself in incredibly vivid 360-degree videos, don’t miss this post.
@InaS : My choice for this week is the post “Ways to support a women-led local business near you!” by @Globe_trotter_Ish . From adding photos and reviews to checking the facts and answers questions, she describes in detail how Local Guides can help women-led businesses flourish through Google Maps and Google My Business. Isha has also included aMaps list of her own as an example and an educational video with more tips. Make sure to check out her post, and feel free to share how you support women-led businesses in your area.
@DeniGu : I’ll confess: I’m not a swimmer, but I love the sea and ocean. That’s why I always love it when Local Guides like @indahnuria share about their underwater adventures. In her post “Saying Hi to Mr. Turtle at Tegal Island, Lampung,” she takes us to a very special spot, Tegal Island, off the coast of Indonesia, where she dived for the first time in her life. Since then, she has been returning regularly, and this time, we join her to say hi to the underwater creatures there. Her post is so great that it was even nominated via our nomination form!
@AngieYC : ReadingTravel posts brings me a lot of joy while staying at home. I come across a lot of bucket-list destinations, and the latest addition to my list is the Montmorency Falls, thanks to @SilvyC 'spost “Tomando una ducha en Montmorency Falls.” The first things that captured my attention were her catchy title and beautiful photo. Then, I enjoyed a walk around the park and the three waterfalls while learning more about them and how to reach them from Old Quebec. So go ahead and “take a shower” under the Montmorency Falls, too, in Silvy’s post.
