Every Friday, Googlers round up some of the best posts they came across during the week to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. This week, the Trevi Fountain, a visit to North Korea, and more.
@Sorbe : They say all roads lead to Rome. If you ever visited the “eternal city” or are planning to go in the future, the fountain of Trevi is one of the hot spots to see along with the Coliseum and the Pantheon. In the post “Tre monetine e non una soltanto,” @Patrizia8 gave us very good reasons to do so, combined with historical and cultural anecdotes. If you visit the Trevi Fountain during the day and you want your wishes to come true, don’t forget to throw three coins into the fountain. To feel a little bit of the spirit of “La dolce vita,” a nighttime visit might be better for you.
@KlaudiyaG : What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about the Netherlands? Is it Amsterdam? Or maybe tulips, bicycles, canals, and clogs? Well, even though Amsterdam is great, why not explore the other cities that this beautiful country has to offer? You’ll be surprised how gorgeous they are. To find out more about some of them, I highly recommend reading @claudiaamanda 's post “Netherlands is not just Amsterdam.”
@Ivi_Ge : One post that caught my attention this week was @danieldreimer 's “Trip to DPRK / North Korea - ‘I know people told you not to come here.’” In it, he described his experience visiting North Korea which has extremely strict travel restrictions. I really enjoyed the personal touch that @danieldreimer put into his post and the way he depicted his trip. Visiting North Korea is undoubtedly a thrill for everyone who dares to walk out of their comfort zone and go and explore our vast world. As @danieldreimer explained in his post, no matter where you are “in the end, people are just people, going about their lives and making the best out of it.”
@DeniGu : One of the best posts I stumbled upon this week is “Best ways to get up Table Mountain Cape Town. (Prices Included 2019)” by @JoeBerg . It’s a wonderful combination of an informative hiking guide and beautiful nature photos that put a smile on my face. @JoeBerg tells us about four different ways to go upTable Mountain—one by cable car and three for the enthusiastic hikers who wish to enjoy the gorges and forests up close. He also gives advice on what not to forget on your adventure. So head over to @JoeBerg 's post and experience a piece of the fascinating South African nature!
