Every Friday, Google Moderators highlight the best posts they found to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. These are posts detailing past experiences that we hope will serve as entertainment and inspiration for your future bucket list. This week, seafood in Indonesia, a peak in Czechia, and more.
@Giu_DiB : Local Guides take us on wonderful virtual travels, and this week, I was happy to come across @plavarda ’s cycling tour with his wife around my belovedSicily. He shares part of his journey with us in the post “Camere d’aria 2020. Sicilia. Stage 6. Solanto– Mondello,” which is just one episode of a very interesting and engaging series that you can find on his profile. Whether you already love Sicily or want to discover its beauty and soul, you will absolutely enjoy this diary with great photos, detailed descriptions of places, and a video recap.
@MashaPS : I love to read about delicious food from around the world that Local Guides share on Connect. This week, @Velvel 's post “Surganya Seafood yang Segar dan Lezat” caught my eye. In it, she introduces some mouthwatering seafood specialties from Makassar City, Indonesia. Feliciana recommends a local restaurant and tells us about the COVID measures in place there before starting to present the menu. Be warned: her photos and descriptions can make you hungry! It’s hard to choose one dish that stands out; they all look amazing. If you like seafood and want to find out what Ikan Bakar Rica, Sambal, or Pallumara are, or just want to read about various cuisines, make sure to check out her post.
@TsekoV : Winter is in full swing in the Northern Hemisphere, and snow has covered some of the higher mountains. I like every season, but winter is my favorite, so this week I want to tell you about the post “A trip to Czechia’s highest point called Sněžka” by @Lukas_1 . In it, he shareс his adventure of hiking the highest mountain in Czechia, Sněžka, and enjoying some splendid snowy panoramas. Don’t forget to leave a like or comment on his post if you happen to love breathtaking winter sceneries, too.@DeniGu : We recently celebrated World Braille Day, a day that brings awareness of the accessibility features that help people who are blind to experience the world more fully. To commemorate it, @TusharSuradkar shared a fantastic selection of places and things inDelhi, which have made sure to accommodate those who are visually impaired. In the post “World Braille Day 2021 - Traveling The Extra Mile,” Tushar mentions historical places, restaurants, museums, train stations, and more. What I like about his post are the informative notes he gives for each location and the links to some of his other relevant posts on Connect. Don’t miss Tushar’s list, and if you want to learn more about World Braille Day, head to @EmekaUlor ’s post “World Braille Day 2021.”
