Every Friday, Google Moderators round up some of the best posts they came across during the week to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. This week, Peking duck, an accessible playground, and more.
@KlaudiyaG: As a foodie, I really enjoy reading about other countries’ cuisine, so I love browsing through the Food & Drink topic on Connect. There’s always something new and interesting that I would stumble upon and that’s exactly what happened this week. “The Legendary Peking Duck” is a wonderfully delicious food post by Local Guide @Velvel, which talks about one of the most famous Chinese dishes—the Peking duck. She recommends a traditional old restaurant in Beijing, China, and gives useful tips on how to eat this delicacy. If you haven’t had the chance to read her post yet, make sure to check it out now.
@MashaPS: This week, I came across @NatalkaR’s touching post “All children need childhood.” In it, she shares that her country Ukraine has recently started taking actions towards improving accessibility. As evidence for that, Natalka shows us a playground in Kyiv Botanic Garden that was built by volunteers and has special swings and other equipment for children with disabilities. This way, all children could play in one place, together.
@BorrisS: This week, I fell in love with @CatherineKh post “Beautiful lands of America.” After attending Connect Live 2019, Catherine embarked on a journey that took her to several places in the state of California, including San Francisco. Her post is like an amazingly beautiful photo book, full of scenic spots and positive emotions. If you’re like me and you’re a fan of vast landscapes, then this post is definitely for you!
@Giu_DiB: My favorite post this week is definitely “The Blue City –‘Jodhpur’” by @vijayparadkar, a very detailed story about his family trip to Rajasthan, India. Vijay took many nice photos of this precious and sunny city, its monuments and main attractions. Reading his post, you’ll have the impression that you’re actually visiting the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort and Museum, the sumptuous Jaswant Thada palace, the impressive Umaid Bhawan Museum, and the beautiful Clock Tower. If you like traveling and discovering new places, you’ll love this post!
