Every Friday, Googlers round up some of the best posts they came across during the week to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. This week, Ethiopian food, a weekend getaway to Batroun, and more.
@KlaudiyaG: This week, I want to share with you @Marichams’s post “Ethiopian Gastronomy.” I haven’t experienced this African cuisine personally, but I learned a lot about the Ethiopian traditions and food etiquette from @Marichams’s post. She shares some interesting facts about this beautiful country’s gastronomy, so if you’re like me and you love food, I recommend you check out her post. I’m sure that you’ll enjoy every bit of it!
@FelipePK: My choice for this week is @CatherineKh’s fantastic post “Batroun, a weekend getaway from Beirut.” In it, @CatherineKh describes how much she enjoys the summer time in Lebanon when she can escape the big city and chill at the beach. I was impressed by how beautiful the sea is in Batroun, a coastal city where she chose to spend a relaxing weekend. @CatherineKh talks about where she stayed, which beach she went to, and which colourful restaurant she picked to enjoy a nice dinner. I love the sea because I also used to live close to the shore and spent every free moment relaxing at the beach. Seeing @CatherineKh’s photos makes me want to visit Batroun and enjoy the good vibes.
@Ivi_Ge: Do you like Asia and Asian food? If your answer is yes, then you’ll definitely enjoy @KarolT’s “Three Days in Busan - South Korea.” His amazing post immediately transported me to Busan, the second largest city in South Korea. @KarolT shares with us his experience there, from trying some traditional food, to enjoying the view from tall modern buildings, to visiting old temples. It’s a great mix between the modern and the traditional.
@Aruni: This week, I really liked a post written by @luchotele titled “Jaime Duque Park Bogota Colombia.” @luchotele introduces some of the things you can do in this big park, such as visiting a life-size replica of the Taj Mahal, walking among dinosaur sculptures, enjoying smaller versions of some of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, like The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Egyptian pyramids, and more. The zoo at Jaime Duque Park is also worth visiting. There are boat tours available at the park, as well as water bikes and kayaks. If you’re planning to go to Columbia, make sure you read this post—it has a lot of photos, too!
