Every Friday, Googlers round up some of the best posts they came across during the week to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. This week, coffee, cherry blossoms, and more.
@VasT : If you ever spotted any of my comments on Connect then you might know just how much I love coffee. So, it probably comes as no surprise that my favorite post for this week is “My favorite coffee shops in Morioka, Japan.” Ican relate so much to @HiroyukiTakisawa and this post made me want to go and sip a coffee in Morioka. In his post, he tells us about five different coffeeshops in the area and why he enjoys going to them. As he mentioned, people don’t just go to cafes for coffee. They also go for “eating, studying, working, talking, relaxing” and so much more! Check out his post to see why he loves these five local cafes in particular.
@RadieN :“Bogor The Big Village” by @nwidiasari is a post I really enjoyed reading this week. She loves her city Bogor so much that she continues living there even though she has to travel more than 60 kilometers to Jakarta every day. In this post, she tells us about some of the most interesting places to explore in Bogor. Learning about the Bogor Botanical Garden, Bogor Palace, its traditional markets, and more, helped me understand the unique diversity and mixture of modernity with simplicity that this city can offer.
@LilyanaZ : The post that caught my eye this week was “Korea Palace Gyeongbokgung(경복궁) with night” by @RoRoPo . As a person who has been there a few times, I was surprised to see how different and magical everything looks when it is shrouded in the dusk. This is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Korea, a well preserved traditional landmark, situated in the very heart of the city, and @RoRoPo includes a lot of useful information for first-time visitors, so make sure you check it out if you are planning a trip to Seoul!
@VitB : My favorite post this week is “Best spots to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo” written by @SunPanupong . Spring is coming in the Northern Hemisphere and one of the best things to do in spring is to go for a walk, preferably with a nice person to a nice place. This post shows us five beautiful places in Tokyo to see cherry blossoms. The post includes tons of beautiful photos of cherry blossom trees as well as a description of each place, Google Maps links, and helpful info about the nearest public transport station.
Tell us about some of the best posts you’ve read on Connect lately and be sure to keep an eye out next week to see if one of your posts is selected for Friday Favorites! You can check out last week’s Friday Favorites here.
