Every Friday, Google Moderators highlight the best posts they found to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. These are posts detailing past experiences that we hope will serve as entertainment and inspiration for your future bucket list. This week, an organic farm in Costa Rica, a hiking experience in Taiwan, and more.
@InaS : While reading the post “0 km food: a sustainable way of eating” by @IrenePiedra , I went on a culinary journey. She had the chance to visit a farm that is 85% organic, and that uses its own produce for its restaurant. After taking a walk around Finca Integral Educativa San Francisco de Asís, Irene enjoyed some delicious food. What she took from this experience was the realization of how important it is to appreciate the food we consume every day, to consider where it came from, and how it was produced. Have you ever been to a restaurant or a farm where they cook only with ingredients they produce?
@GNaz : The post that amazed me the most this week was “My Perspectives while Climbing Jundashan” by @adring22 . Just like this Local Guide, I also like to hike, so their post helped me better understand how many mountains there are to explore. I believe that the detailed description of @adring22 's experience climbing the beautiful Junda Shan Peak in Taiwan will bring this place closer to many of us. She also shared some important realizations she had while going up the mountain. What is your favorite destination for hiking?
@KlaudiyaG : I’ve always been attracted to islands. It’s probably because the coast, sea, and beach are always nearby. This is why I chose to feature @YulianusLadung ’s post “Natuna, why it is one of my favorite places on Google Maps.” He shared some really useful information about the Natuna Islands, Indonesia, which I think you’ll find very interesting. His photos are quite spectacular, not to mention his great video where you’ll see even more of the islands’ beauty.
@DanniS : My choice this week is a post by the wonderful @Wei929 titled “Feast of delicacies in Spain.” This post showcases typical foods to try in Spain and brought back memories of when I visited this country and also had many churros and tapas. The diverse tastes of Spain are, in my opinion, a must-try. @Wei929 also shared some great photos and the Google Maps locations of the places where she had these delicacies, so you can easily add them to your foodie bucket list, too.
