This week, a LEGO Christmas in Taiwan, a coffee library in India, and more.
@TsekoV : Christmas is tomorrow, and here on Connect, we can feel the festive spirit, too. In the past few weeks, there have been many amazing posts by Local Guides sharing about the holiday preparations and jolly decorations around them. One of these posts was @ChanneLing 's “Xmas in New Taipei City: LEGO Christmasland 2021,” which brought a smile to my face. It’s perfect for LEGO fans and anyone who likes colorful installation art with a large dose of cuteness! It’s also part of @MariaNgo ’s #ChristmasInMyCity 2021 challenge, so if you wish to join, now would be the perfect moment!
@Giu_DiB : I love coffee, and I love reading! That’s why I liked @Pratik_89 ’s post THE HEDGEHOG CAFE (CAFE WITH A LIBRARY)” this week. In it, we go to Chandigarh, India, to sip a cup of hot beverage and enjoy a slice of delicious cake in the company of shelves upon shelves of books. The Hedgehog Cafe looks like a great place to spend time with friends or alone, with a drink or just a book in hand. It’s easy to feel the cozy atmosphere of the place through the Local Guide’s photos, so if you’re looking for bookish places to explore, don’t miss this post.
@DeniGu : Although I haven’t been to the cinema in what feels like ages, next time I go, I’ll be sure to check the accessibility features not only of the hall but of the movies, too. Thanks to @LaloPadilla and his post, “Is your local cinema accessible? ,” I learned that there are more ways for cinemas to provide an inclusive experience beyond the reserved area for wheelchairs. Some of them include closed captions for movies, regardless of their language, and creating the optimal environment for people with autism. Does your local cinema have these? Be sure to let Lalo know and check out what other helpful features are available in Mexico by clicking here.

@DeniGu So good of you to highlight this article by @LaloPadilla to bring greater attention to accessibility issues. I found the article made me more aware of the various ways in which the cinematic experience can be more enjoyable and accessible for people with hearing, visual or physical impairment. I shall watch out for those things next time I’m at the cinema.
@TsekoV Thanks for highlighting my #ChristmasInMyCity challenge. I hope that many more people will participate. I have already learnt new things through what people have contributed so far and I look forward to learning more about different cities of the a uniqueness in more posts.
