Friday Favorites: a family trip to Warsaw, a bird sanctuary in India, and more

Every Friday, Googlers round up some of the best posts they came across during the week to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. This week, a family trip to Warsaw, a bird sanctuary in India, and more.

@MortenSI : I am all about weekend getaways in big cities, so I really liked the post “Kids friendly Warsaw, Polen” by Local Guide @KseniaM . Some people may think that taking your kids to big city vacations is not a good idea, but this post will change your mind instantly. @KseniaM shares some great tips on where to go and what to see in Warzaw when you travel with your family. I’ve heard a lot of great things about Poland as a destination and this post only made me want to visit even more.

@RadieN : This week, I enjoyed the virtual walk around Sheka Bird Sanctuary offered by @saraswatN in his post “The ‘Shekha Bird Sanctuary’.” This beautiful freshwater wetland in Northern India, which is home to many kinds of local and migratory birds. If your hobby is bird watching, then this is the perfect place for you. If not, it’s great also for a casual walk and enjoying the lush greenery and charming lakes. To find some useful tips on visiting this bird sanctuary, make sure to check out this post!

@Aruni : I really liked @mikhwaan 's post “Pendakian Gunung Merbabu Via Selo.” Indonesia has many splendid natural sights and @mikhwaan introduces one of them—the amazing Mount Merbabu. The view from the top is simply breathtaking! @mikhwaan tells us about his experience climbing Mount Merbabu in great detail and it’s a very interesting read. Don’t miss it!

@VitB : This week, I would like to bring to your attention the post “Exploring Kazan. Kul Sharif Mosque” by Local Guide @SergeySud . Kazan is one of the biggest Russian cities located in the European part of Russia, around 800 kilometers east of Moscow. I find Russia’s history, culture, and nature fascinating. That’s why I enjoyed reading about the history of Kul Sharif Mosque in Kazan, a truly magnificent building.

Tell us about some of the best posts you’ve read on Connect lately and be sure to keep an eye out next week to see if one of your posts is selected for Friday Favorites! You can check out last week’s Friday Favorites here.
