Every Friday, Googlers round up some of the best posts they came across during the week to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. This week, a Croatian island, cherry blossoms, and more.
@Petra_M: This week, I really enjoyed @br14n’s post [RECAP] Batu Local Guides : Enjoy the atmosphere of De Bamboo.” The amazing group of Batu Local Guides had a super fun meet-up at the De Bamboo Restaurant in Batu, Indonesia. After getting to know each other, the Local Guides met with the chef who told them more about this interesting restaurant and how the management improved the service thanks to the helpful reviews visitors left on Google Maps. It goes without saying that the group also tried the delicious traditional menu and took many photos of it! To see what they had, check out the post.
@Aruni: The post that grabbed my attention this week is “A Travel Guide to Long Island (Dugi otok), Croatia” written by @Tomislav_CRO. @Tomislav_CRO introduces five must-visit places on Dugi otok—an island in Croatia—and they are all fantastic! The island has many beautiful spots to relax and get lost in nature and the views it offers are breathtaking. You can explore anything from beaches to caves to secluded villages, or enjoy different activities such as cycling, kayaking, diving, and hiking. Make sure you read this post if you’re planning a trip to Croatia.
@MoniV: Although I’m not a big fan of cherries, I really like the cherry blossoms. This week, I had the pleasure of seeing the most beautiful cherry trees in @YasumiKikuchi’s post #TeamJapan - Reason for pretty beautiful cherry blossoms, Viewing Japan.” In it, @YasumiKikuchi tells us the interesting story behind why there are so many cherry trees in Japan. He also mentions a 1200-year-ago poem that really impressed me because it describes the cherry blossoms as a metaphor for human life. I encourage you to read @YasumiKikuchi’s post and immerse yourself in the magic of the cherry blossoms through his lovely photos.
@BorrisS: I’m fascinated with India’s culture and impressive architecture, so when I came across @jayasimha78’s post Mysore Palace” I absolutely loved it! Through his incredible photography, @jayasimha78 presents to us the exterior and interior of the Mysore Palace—a true masterpiece, designed by talented architects. If you like majestic buildings, rich decorations, and halls full of ornamented pillars, I suggest having a look at his post—the beauty of the place will leave you speechless!
Tell us about some of the best posts you’ve read on Connect lately and be sure to keep an eye out next week to see if one of your posts is selected for Friday Favorites! You can check out last week’s Friday Favoriteshere.
@MoniV Nice selection. Thank you for sharing Friday Favorites: a Croatian island, cherry blossoms, and more with us. Congratulations to LGs whose post is picked for this week.
@MoniV@Petra_M@LuigiZ@Ant_Bad_Yogi Thank you for enjoying my post.
This could be done because of the incredible support of my members at Batu Local Guides.
Hopefully this can be useful for others
Thank you for reading my post in detail! As a social psychology student, I want to introduce Japanese background stories to the world as soon as possible. Someday, the evaluation will change from a mysterious culture to a very unique culture. Thank you always😃
