Every Friday, Google Moderators highlight the best posts they found to celebrate the amazing discoveries Local Guides like you are sharing on Connect. These are posts detailing past experiences that we hope will serve as entertainment and inspiration for your future bucket list. This week, a Coca-Cola collection, a scenic flight over New Zealand, and more.
@RadieN : This week, I was fascinated by the post “Where to go in picturesque Malta?” by Local Guide @Stphn . I’ve never been to this charming archipelago, but I feel like I’ve visited it after seeing all the mesmerizing photos of the seaside, lovely streets, andfamous cathedral. The Local Guide also shared his Google Maps list with the most notable locations to visit and places to eat at while in Malta.
@Bobiisha : I want to highlight Local Guide @SarahKa 's great post, “[RECAP] Belo Horizonte Virtual Meet-up (portuguese).” What I really liked about their meet-up was the agenda and the idea behind it. Local Guides from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, wanted to connect with each other, talk about their city and what they can do to support their community. The recap also introduces every participant by sharing such details like how they became a Local Guide, which is their favorite part of the city, and more. This is a perfect example of a well-organized virtual meet-up.
@TsekoV : What is one of the best things we can do while in the comfort of our homes? Enjoying the memories of our past trips, of course! While browsing through the different stories on Connect, one post caught my eye, “The scenic flight between Queenstown and Milford Sound.” In it, @OliverKIWI shares his experience of flying next to the pilot of an aircraft that took him on a panoramic flight overNew Zealand. You will see stunning photos of beautiful mountainous landscapes. Don’t miss it out!
@GNaz : My choice for this week is the post “【可口可樂地方限定版】日本東京涉谷.台場.大阪.沖繩/ 台灣限定五款代表”by @LevisLu . It is about this Local Guide’s collection of limited edition Coca-Cola bottles bought from different places. She talks about various bottle designs such as flowery, nostalgic, food-related, and more, which she has found inTaiwan and Japan. This post reminded me of a friend of mine who also used to collect Coca-Cola bottles when we were children, while I was collecting different cards. Do you also have a passion for collecting things?
Tell us about some of the best posts you’ve read on Connect lately and be sure to keep an eye out next week to see if one of your posts is selected for Friday Favorites! You can check out last week’s Friday Favoriteshere.
I want to congratulate the selected Local Guides and their great posts.
Thank you @Stphn for your Google Maps listing of the most remarkable places to visit and places to eat in Malta. I will visit Malta after the C-19 crisis has passed and I will follow your advice!
Great Virtual Meetup you’ve had @SarahKa with other local guides. Sharing details on how you became a Local Guide.
You shot great panoramic photos from the plane over New Zealand @OliverKIWI ! I noticed that you are a professional photographer.
As a kid, I used to collect cans of all kinds of soft drinks @LevisLu and I had an impressive collection. Thank you for reminding me of this time.
@Bobiisha ! You have selected some great posts for Friday Favorites, for which I thank you!
