I’ve been mislead on Google maps by a firm with 1,3k reviews with a score of 4,6 on 5. They where really scams with no interest in good service just to earn a lot of money.
This is het second time I see this kind of “fraude” on Google, the strategy is simple make a lot of 5 star reviews with someone who posts 1 review so this makes for them a super good firm in the scores on Maps.
I understand the difficulty of proof but maybe Google can people with on on less than 5 reviews suspend after a time so this strategy of fraud reviews can be resolved?
Can you see near you the same problem or what can we as a proper guide do to help this?
Google’s review filtering system has flaws @KristofVaneeck, but it’s improving daily. However, since fake reviews often come from real users, current technology struggles to detect them. Suspending accounts for fewer reviews might not be a solution, as it could also impact genuine new reviewers. If you’ve been misled, legal action might be a more practical approach than expecting Google to remove the reviews or the business.
