Fraud about Google maps listings via phone

Hello!

It is not first time some friend of mine told me that someone from Google (with name Katya) called him / her - to ask for 125 EUR fee to fix his / her listing and make it rank higher in local search. Of course it is a fraud.

They told me today again - here is it - in Bulgarian - about an art gallery , owned by girl that I know.

How can we stop it? Some info campaigns ? Some informational videos?

I would help in any way I can cos these frauds and blackmailing /we will delete your listing if you don’t pay us/ are disgusting!!!

You can find helpful information on protecting against fraudulent calls in this Help Center article. In it, there is also a link to an online violation report form that the business owner who received the fraudulent call can fill out.

As @MortenCopenhagen suggested, the business owner can also report this on the Google My Business Community platform.
