Ich habe es immer so gemacht, das ich Fotos für Ibiza Stadt nochmal extra hochgeladen habe. Muss man das Überhaupt noch, da ja die Fotos die man von Sehenswürdigkeiten (in dieser Stadt)hochgeladen hat auch angezeigt werden? Ist das beim Land auch so?

Beachte bitte, dass ich das Post in der How-tos Sektion versetzt habe, wo die Local Guides ihre Fragen stellen.
Zum Beispiel Ibiza, habe dort bei einer Burg Bilder hinzugefügt. Wie immer habe ich sie auch bei der Stadt Ibiza (die gleichen Bilder) hochgeladen. Nun ist mir letztens aufgefallen das Fotos von Orten auch automatisch bei der Stadt hinzugefügt werden. Somit hätte ich Bilder doppelt hochgeladen.

Können die Bilder, die ich bei der Burg hochgeladen habe auch bei der Stadt Ibiza-Stadt auf den ersten drei Anzeigebilder erscheinen?

Somit müsste ich ja nicht mehr Bilder bei der Stadt / Land hochladen oder?

Local guides can add photos only at the places of interests and not to cities, villages etc.
Adopting any workaround to do so is inappropriate.
However, the photos which we upload for a place within a region may appear as “Featured” in the nearby attraction. The automated algorithm decides which photos to display. We will never come to know the logic behind that. Keep on contributing quality photos & then that may get a chance to appear as featured.

Der Punkt mit dem umgehen kann natürlich stimmen. Bei jeder Stadt oder bei jedem Land sind immer Fotos von local guides mit dabei. Könnte ein Mod ja vielleicht aufklären, ob man sas darf.

Local guides are not allowed to uploade photos to cities and districts in a city and to streets etc. You have recently uploaded 7 normal photos to Santa Eulària des Riu.
When you open the page of a place on Google Maps and there is no icon and no link to add photos then this is the signal to you that you should not add photos to such a place. I know how you added the photos to a city but that is oddly considered an offence by Google. Even explaining details of this workaround is a violation of the guidelines. So you should delete the 7 photos and other photos you have uploaded to places where Local Guides should not upload photos to. Sorry.
Photos shown on the pages of citys and districts are selected by Googles AI routines. Only the “best” photos are added from photos uploaded to places inside the city or district. It is like that all over Google Maps as far as I know.
So be happy when one of your shots is selected to represent a city also.

@MortenCopenhagen As per my belief, Google has retained the workaround intentionally. That may be for the benefit of any naive person who does not have access to advance techniques like EXIF editor. By using the alternative method, one can still upload a pic to a correct spot, when the one guessed by Google photo turns out to be incorrect.

I doubt that is the case now where “Suggest other place” lets you do a text search. Maybe earlier that was the case.

Okay, habe mir die Guidelines mal durch gelesen, dort steht nichts explizites zu diesem Fall.
Werde dann wohl mal ein bisschen aufräumen.

I agree that the guidelines are not very explicit on this. I found this :
This issue is mentioned briefly in the official Google Maps Help-page Add, remove, or share photos and videos where it says: “Note: You can add photos for points of interest, like businesses or parks, but not addresses or coordinates.”
And it has been explained here on Connect.
