The Kishangarh Fort is officially closed for casual visitors and all reservations need to be made from their Delhi office before arrival. I stopped by this tiny town overnight on my way to Bundi and beyond.
The road to the fort is scenic and passes by a beautiful lake called Gundolow Sagar which is like a huge oasis in the desert. There is ample parking both outside and inside the main gate.
There is also a boating facility for INR 60 per person that I enjoyed with a cool breeze over the lake.
The views of the fort are the best from the lakeside.
There are also benches and kattas below a huge peepal tree that spreads its branches way over the water.
Those who do not want to enjoy boating can soak their feet in the cool waters of the lake.
This facility is just beside that Phool Mahal palace.
Accessibility Features
Most parts of the fort and the Phool Mahal palace and also the boating facility have ramps and leveled walkways to facilitate access to the differently-abled.

@MahabubMunna The best time to visit Rajasthan is after 15 January.
15 Dec to 15 Jan is the holiday season and difficult to find hotels + places are also overcrowded.
But the limit is 30 March when I went there. After 1st April it becomes terribly warm since it is a desert area.

Fort of India awesome post & photo that for sharing, photo of pipal tree & benches is beautiful.
Do they allow to go near lake side photo in blue rod ralling. We sit soak feet.

That is a nice idea @RosyKohli though the railing is for boarding the boat so I don’t think they would allow anyone to just sit there.
But there are several other places by the lakeside that I haven’t taken photos of where sitting near the lake is allowed.

@TusharSuradkar . Kisangarh is also famous for its miniature paintings. The lake used to be in very bad condition full of sewage and water hyacinth till it was restored to its pristine glory

The only bummer was that the fort was in private ownership and not available for the public to explore.
