  1. This fortress played a key role in the battle that would ultimately give rise to the Maratha Empire.
  2. Pratapgad fort is located 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Poladpur and 23 kilometres (14 mi) west of Mahabaleshwar, a popular hill station in the area. The fort stands 1,080 metres (3,540 ft) above sea level and is built on a spur which overlooks the road between the villages of Par and Kinesvar.i t take us 1hr45 min to reach from mahabaleshwar.

@C_T Yes! Reach on top near flag and there is lots of place to visit because mahabaleshwar location is tourist place.we would like to welcome you if you wants to come here. :pray:

@MoniV yes sir I"ll add in my next pic in more , but for my recent post indicate that how “Maratha” power defeats “mughals” and reclaim there own Land and fort again and this fort was there important fort because from this fort they were controlling all there near fort.For more Google it about “shivaji maharaja”(The King) it will really inspired any one .

@Nyainurjanah yes this place was in there kingdom and apart from this place there are lots of place in Maharashtra state now a day have long and giant forts and you will get the way they doing war that time unique way and mixture of innovative which we upgrading now a day on base of that innovations.
