For the Coffee Snob: Best coffee in Southern Rhode Island

As an ex barista of a locally owned coffee roasting store, I have come to be quite the coffee snob. In New England, Dunkin Donuts is king, but if that coffee is a little too watered down and tasteless for you too, then this list is for you!

Fuel Coffee Bar, Boston Neck Rd, Narragansett, RI. This surf style coffee shop has a wall of ice coffee. That is right, a whole wall. You grab a cup and can mix and match through different types and flavors with all sorts of vegan milk and different all natural sweetener offerings. All coffee is locally roasted by 401 coffee roasters. A good amount of space to sit and hang out with friends or get work done with free WiFi.

TLC Coffee Roasters, 3362 Kingstown Rd, W. Kingston, RI. From the road this coffee shop does not look like much but with an outdoor area, freshly baked treats and locally roasted coffee this place is awesome. All the coffee is strong and you can often see it being roasted on the premise.

Updike’s Newtowne at 7726 Post Rd, N. Kingstown, RI. When walking in you are greeted with a large coffee roaster right when you walk in. With coffee roasted on premise, this coffee is strong and flavorful.

Dave’s Coffee, Rt 1, Charlestown, RI. DaVe roasts all his own coffees and even makes his own all natural flavorings, like lavender vanilla. They also have amazing cold brew coffee. Amazing shakes like the jumping monkey that has cold brew espresso, a meal and coffee in one! The baked goods are made there and keep the place smelling sweet and fruity all the time. The muffins have huge , crunchy tops and are to die for.
