I met Local Guides by accident more than three years ago when I was on my daily walks, I met a beautiful place in my city (Medellín –Colombia), which I had never seen; I explored it completely and decided to have a few photos that in just weeks had more than 3,000 views (according to the Google notification email) which left me very amazed. At that time he discovered the program, and I keep making my contributions to help miles of people know many places that are near their same city and that they do not know. That is why, for me, being a local guide means: selflessly helping, uniting people, broadening the world’s field of vision and the best competition where you can advance with help if it helps.

Within the Local Guides program, know many more places and help miles of people locate places of interest, answering their questions. I have made friends in different cities that I did not know like Bogotá, Villavicencio, Granada, Costa Rica, San Juan de Arama, Moniquirá, Barbosa, Medellín to name just a few. I had never been part of something so big and I was full of satisfaction knowing that I can contribute my grain of sand every time I go out in search of adventure. He knew a lot more about the culture of different areas of my country and I have made a few friends in passing. I have much more to learn and explore since the world now fits in the palm of our hand with a program as complete as Local Guides.

One of the things I like most about this program is; when the emails arrived saying that my photos have obtained more than 485,000 visits and that he was able to help thousands of people find somewhere where the state is.

This program shows all the diversity in the world, shows us the importance of contributing and making known all the beautiful places that the whole world needs to know through our visits, photos, evaluations and above all the great love to have experiences new.

Caption: My first photo in the Piedmont nature reserve in the city of Medellín, which today has a much larger cultural development center than when I met and is now controlled by many more people, who like me in that occasion; Enjoy a space of tranquility, clean air and lots of peace.
