Travelling is one of my passions. Living in London provides me easy access to travel around various beautiful places in Europe, and occassionally further away. Google maps plays a huge role in providing me with confidence to visit any new place in the world. Visiting places of interest, finding good places to eat and roaming around any city had never been easier.
Having lived in different countries throughout my life, I have relied heavily on Google Maps. It helped me to find home away from home. To be able to find any cuisine, banks, restaurants, ATMs, grocery markets, shops makes the settlement process much easier.
By posting reviews on Google maps I want to help people like me. I want to assist them in making better decisions by being more informed. If something is extraordinary about a place, everyone should get a chance to experience it.
I can also prevent from anyone facing the same problems I did in an unfamiliar place. For example once reaching late night to a remote cliffs in Ireland, I found very few places were open to eat. The one place which was opened accepted just cash. Apparently, the ATM was just a block away but since it was not on Google maps, it took a walking around four blocks in the middle of the night to find it out. I, then, made sure that I added the ATM to Google maps and review about place to find out to eat late night food. I hoped in doing so would help someone being in a similar situation in future.
Everyone looks for information on Google maps. What would be a better way to reach them? Apart from writing about my experiences, I also like to post pictures. So that it gives people an idea of what could they potentially experience. Whenever I receive update on views of my photos and reviews, it gives me immense satisfaction.
After all, it’s an amazing feeling to know that my reviews, pictures, suggestions brings smile to other travellers.
