I accepted a job in DC six years ago. I quickly discovered that happy hour is a thing here. The best jerk wings and mac and cheese in the city can be found at the Park at Fourteenth for only $6 during happy hour. Then I learned that brunch is pretty much a tradition on the weekends. When my coworker lost her job we decided to take her to one of the best brunches in the city: The Beacon. It was the perfect way to lift her spirits. We topped it off with a day party at The Gryphon. Before I knew it one year anniversary on the job rolled around. My coworkers and I wanted to go out and celebrate by getting the best steak in the city. Where else would we go but Fogo de Chao?
For all of life’s ups and downs, there is a time and place to experience it. Though I can’t control time, I can help with choosing the right place.
