Foods in local restaurants are of various kinds. It varies place to place. Recently I have visited Patia in Chittagong and find many kinds of foods in a road side restaurant. It was tasty.
Hi @Siddiqui-BA ,
Thanks for sharing. Can you tell us more about treats in the restaurant, especially about Jilapi, Piajo and Khaja?
It reminds me a lot of Vietnam, my home country.
Hi @Siddiqui-BA ,
Thank you for sharing this tasty looking photos with us.
I would definitely like to try the Khaya desert. Is it covered with sugar syrup?
@sonnyNg , Thank you very much for your interests about our local foods. Jilapi is made of some floure and sugar mixed together with using some water, then put it in a small pot having a hole on the bottom. Then release the mixture to a pan of boiled oil and fried . Piajo is a mixture of some dal, onion and green chili, mixed together and fried in boiled oil into small pieces. Khaja is also a mixture of floure and sugar and fried in boiled oil. Thanks again.
