It was a last minute invitation I received from a friend of my wife regarding this street food festival. They had a catchy name Foodiez on street.
As attractive the name were the presentations too. It was all filled with most of the Sri Lankan and other street food varieties. Most of them were made on the spot and served.
While we walked through, I first met an Achcharu shop (pickled fruits and vegetables on vinegar along with spices) which was followed up by a cotton candy action point and several barbeques, kothu roti, biriyani, shawarma, and Pani Puri outlets. There was a corner for kids to have fun with trampoline, boating, and other activities too.
Above all, there was this ornaments shop which grabbed my attention a lot. The painted crystal stones, dream catchers and ear drops made of recycled materials were awesome and were sold at a reasonable price.
All of the street food had my mouth watering. If there is fried meat on a stick I will be there ready to eat. My favorite was the handmade crafts and stones. That seems like a perfect gift for a child or loved one. DId you get to sample the food? What was the best thing you tasted?
