I’ve found myself getting more and more obsessed with taking pictures of beautiful food. And I know we’re all the same deep down!
Do you remember the days when we got our first camera phone? The early days of Instagram and Facebook? The natural thing to do was to take a picture of what we were eating and share it with our friends.
Well as camera phone technology gets better, I for one have been pushing myself to take better and more delicious picture of food. I’m watching video tutorial on composition, lighting and even food styling!
Now I am uploading the best pictures I can take on Google Maps, because being a Local Guide that loves food and reviewing restaurants, I want to be able to convey that delicious food I am having with others with words and pictures. I want to be able to capture the time and effort the chef has put in to preparing and presenting this food. I want others to want to lick their screen and taste the food with me!
I’ve see more and more quality food photography come though by other Local Guides, I love seeing what they are eating, getting their recommendations and in turn visiting these spots. This community of enthusiastic foodies is Local Guides program mean to me.
It’s 10pm where I am but @taher your food photos look absolutely delicious and it’s making me hungry! Were these taken at different restaurants? If so, which ones? And what is the last meat dish, the meat looks like it is cooked perfectly!
Hi @taher ! I love to take pictures of food too. I think even though the food doesn’t taste really good (especially my cooking ), beautiful pictues can make the food ‘taste’ yummy lol.
Thanks Shirley. Yes, these are at different restaurant. The last one is perhaps the best steak I have tasted in London. It’s at a restaurant called Zelman Meats in Knightsbridge.
