‘Es lilin’ packed with love, 100% from human’s work.

The worker originated from local, it’s 20 to 50th years old, working from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Despite it distributed from Brasil’s and another shops around Purwokerto, it still use the local marketing’s word mouth-to-mouth called “Gethok Tular”

It made from fresh coconut milk and pure milk, so it will be able to endure from 6 months to one year.

From various type of ice, only some of them produced using machine

At the first, the visitor of Brasil’s was dominated by adults, because it was established since 1968. However, the development of the business started since 2000s. Various facilities like wi-fi in the store was able to attract teenagers and college students to come to the store. The Brasil’s not only sell the ‘es lilin’, but also coffee and soybeans milk. Besides, there are also sell 15 kinds of local snacks from the markets that can be eaten together with Brasil’s. All of it are handmade. The available coffee type in the store is Robusta. Although the place growing bigger, it’s still hold the traditional snacks like buntil, semayi, kopyor, and candil.

Sokaraja was chosen for the production place because it was large and easy for waste management to be done. Among all the ice products, only a few was made by machine, the rest was still use the human’s that controlled by the family itself.

After the plastic with Brasil’s logo are filled up with various flavor, the ice was not immediately entered to the refrigerator, but it need to be soaked in salt water for approximately 30 minutes.

The making of Traditional ‘Es Lilin’

After it been immersed for 30-minutes, es lilin is ready to enter to the cooler cabinet. The cooler cabinet is also still traditionally preserved.

The Unique Taste of Traditional Variants

The Brasil’s is not using the preservative and chemical ingredients for additional, however the product can last up to 6 months. Even it saved in frozen, it can last longer till one year.

The stick Brasil’s can be enjoyed in three flavors, such as fruity, rainbow, and chocolate. The cylinder ones have the most flavors like chocolate, durian, avocado, coffee, ‘rujak’ a traditional-salad-look-alike, coconut, strawberry and soursop. The most expensive ever created was cake icecream. It’s consisted of round bread with Brasil’s in the middle. In contrast, the cheapest among the variants was ‘eski’ and square ice. If you desired to bought in for souvenirs, you can also bought in for one liter packaged.
