Food lovers?! Here is one: ME!!!... Anybody else? :)

Hi Everybody!!! I’m Gabriela (Gabu) and I was asking me, How many Local Guides are Food Lovers like me?

As a Local Guide I love writing reviews of restaurants with GOOD FOOD in my city, if the food is good the price is not an issue, but of course that we care about the price, because is better if it’s cheap and also have a good taste???

I am from Cochabamba – Bolivia, the gastronomic capital of my country, but I live in Santa Cruz de la Sierra 5 years ago.

As a good “Cochabambina” or “Cochala” (as we say here to people from Cochabamba) I always care about tasty food, in my city people always say “Barriga llena, corazón contento”, it means “with a full belly you have a happy heart!”, that’s the reason why I love food and share my experiences in all the different places as a Local Guide, with my reviews and photos on Google Maps I know that people will know to which restaurants have to go to get a great lunch and enjoy their food.

I remember once a friend from Sweden came to Bolivia, and asked me “Why do most men here have a big belly???” and I said “Oh, well… let me take you to lunch and you will know why ?”, so I took him to a traditional restaurant “El Aljibe” and ordered a “Majadito de pato”, at the first tested he said “OMG! ?This is SO GOOD!?” and I said “Now you know the reason why do most men here have a big belly!! and this is just the beginning!!” and we laught. I took him to that place because that was the first restaurant in my country that I reviewed in my experience as a Local Guide, and I told him that!! That was a funny experience. I forgot to take pictures of the food that day, we were hungry and we just were thinking in eat our food!!??? hahaha, but here is a picture of the “Majadito de pato” from another restaurant.

After that, I started to review more restaurants in this city.

So I wanna know if anyone here had a great experience tasting food in a new place in your city! Let me know in the comments!

Regards!

@PavelSarwar Yaaaayy!!! We are in the same team!!!:+1:t3::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@Emmik20 Yes!!! Hahahaha in Cochabamba some times our meal could be another lunch! :joy::joy::joy:

People are saying south American foods are bad mostly Argentine foods. So I almost gave up hope. But your post motivated me to think about a South America tour mostly for Bolivia for foods. @Gabuu

@imran1986 I couldn’t say anything about food in another countries, I think that you have to be in the right place to eat a great traditional food, because for example here in Santa Cruz you won’t find the same quality of food from Cochabamba and viceversa, each city have their own traditional dish as each country, so if you wanna go to taste some traditional food (a good one) you have to go to the right place where they cook it better :slightly_smiling_face: that’s why we are and enjoy being a Local Guide, right?
