From the day we are born till the last, one thing which stays constant in our lives is food. Whether its simple plain rice with sambar, brown bread sandwich with veggies or a complex mix of sauces on a salad or spicy noodles – we have it all in our life.
When I first started reviewing places on Google Maps, it was about correcting the location of fuel stations, schools etc. Eventually I started reviewing restaurants I visit and then realized that millions of users on Google Maps would want to know more about the food served in a particular place – be it a simple road-side stall or breakfast place or buffet or fine dining restaurants.
But why was that? Each person has a different taste of food, liking for a type of preparation and wide number of factors before dinning at a place or ordering food. So, in my reviews I’ve included topics like the food items we ordered, how quick was the service, how’s the ambiance, is it kids-friendly etc.
As a passionate traveler, I’ve traveled to more than 14 countries and tried food in more than 70 cities!!! What’s more to wait, Google Maps is the best confluence of travel experience & food. And I made good use of Google Maps to put up my food adventures for millions of people to see.
In the last three years, when I reflect back, I realized that I’ve reviewed more than 200 restaurants globally on Google Maps and added countless pictures of food dishes.
The icing on the cake is when restaurant owners replied to my reviews. Many restaurant owners have thanked me for giving detailed review and thereby helping others to choose their restaurant for dinning.
I’m very happy that I could contribute to the society’s digital boom where citizens use Google Maps to book a seat or order food from restaurants.
