Whenever I’m looking for an amazing place to eat great fried chicken or a creamy red curry, without the surprise letdown, Google reviews is where I turn. Finding a great place to eat in a an unfamiliar area can often be a challenge, but reading reviews makes it that much easier. Google maps is like that friend that you never knew you needed but is always there to show you a great time.
I love leaving detailed reviews, with photographs of the meals I enjoyed (or sometimes, didn’t). The photo below is one of the first I ever posted. After eating that cheesecake and noticing not many people knew about it, I felt like I had to get the word out so everyone could enjoy it as much as I did. Getting emails from Google, telling me my photo had reached new goals, made me want to review more which is where this all began.
Over time (thankfully) I’ve gotten better at taking photos of food that I enjoy.
My love for food is one of the reasons I constantly review. Asian cuisine is one of my favourite choices and there is an endless supply of places to try. The ability to find some of the best Asian cuisine without even having to leave Auckland is why I take the time to review - so that people visiting from out of town, overseas or even just from down the road know exactly where to go and what to order. This lets others enjoy food as much as I do. Google reviews let’s me do that for something very close to my heart, food!
