I was brought up in a culture where food is something that’s held up in high esteem. In many cases, the opportunity to gather friends and family in one place to share a meal is a grand experience and it’s greatly valued. Why so, you may ask. Well, such event serves as a great opportunity for friends and family, who may or may have not seen each other for some time to catch up, engage in conversations, share cultural traditions and beliefs, and even share life experiences. So, it’s not strange that I have come to appreciate and value the idea of exploring my local community in the search for some of it’s best and fine dining, coffee, and culture that it has to offer.
After residing in Baltimore for the past 13 years, I have come to discover a lot of hidden gem about it that’s worth sharing and highlighting to many around the world. Perhaps it’s my attempt to partake in the unspoken local initiative to show the world another side of this imperfect yet lovely city. Who knows? See for some time now, Baltimore has been known for its violence and troubled times. However, this city has a lot to offer. There are many somethings about this city that’s worth sharing and admiring. With reason is why love sharing some of its best cuisines, beverages, and culture that the city has to offer. Although my passion for visiting some of these local venues and sharing the Google Map is heavily influenced by my love for food and culture, I think the opportunity to share these experiences with friends and family make it totally worth it and allow other to make the most of their money and time with their loved ones.
