Hello @SH221b ,

Thank you for sharing these photos and the recipe with us, the cake looks very delicious! Did you make it on your own?

Is this a famous meal all over your country, or mostly popular in a particular area?

I love Indian food and I would like to try and make this fluffy cake at home, but I’m afraid that gram flour wouldn’t be easy to find in the shops in Sofia. Do you know if the same cake could be done using another kind of flour?

Hello @BorrisS ,

Yeah! I made it myself.

Dhokla is a widely popular dish among Indians with its origin from Gujarat (western India).

Generally, gram flour is preferred for Dhokla but people try a variety of ingredients like- a mixture of gram flour & rice flour, a mixture of gram flour & semolina, or semolina only. You can try the one which suits you.

Dhokla is a dry dish. Make sure the mixture of sugar water properly seeps into it. A tip for you, tamarind sauce would taste delicious with it!
