First of all let me apologise for posting a bit late.
Hope you all are in the pink of your health.
I had visited the Flowers Exhibition held at Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan and Zoo held between 3rd February to 5th February 2023. The Flowers Exhibition was hosted by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and Trees Conservation Project. This year was 26th exhibition year and the theme for the exhibition was G20 to celebrate One Earth, One Family and One Future and a Clean and Green Mumbai.
Lot of variety of plants, flowers and fruits were presented at the display. The environment was so colourful and refreshing Flower Power everywhere. There were many attractions and display of G20 in flowers arrangement.
Must-mention about the exhibition was a Bandra Worli Sea Link Miniature Model. It was exact replica of the sea-link in Mumbai. They had also created banners for awareness of Marine Life Conservation. The actionable steps to save the ocean were beautifully displayed on the banner and they are:
Also, there were many stalls selling gardening tools and aesthetic items to enhance the garden. There were gardening workshops too where they provided guided step-by-step learning of creating a home garden. It was charged and were in specific time slots.
Entry to the exhibition was free. Best time to visit: Mornings and evenings.
I had a lot of fun experiencing floral aura. I did grab some beautiful pictures that I arranged in collage and presented here for the ones who couldn’t attend.
Do let me know which photo did you like the most?
Is there any exhibition in your vicinity and what social message does it give?
The Flower-Show at Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan looks very tempting. We too, in Bangalore have 2 Flower Shows every year - Jan 26th & August 15th… For 2 weeks… Really Grand.
Congratulations…
“… One Earth, One Family and One Future…” is a very important subject - “Vasudeva Kutumbakam” concept itself.
Pic #3 is very interesting… As you have mentioned, it would have been very engaging for children… Right?
Yes, the Bandra Worli Sea Link is one of its kind - I visited this along with our LG @Shrut19 when I visited Mumbai in February this year - happy to see it replicated.
Attractive post,Because every flower has its own identity and fragrance which makes every flower different from every other flower. And their performance makes the atmosphere even more beautiful. @MayuriKubal
Wow, the beautiful flowers are natural source of energy, happiness, love. The vibrant colors make it visually attractive.
The exhibition looks amazing and arrangements and special awareness about nature, sea and it’s sustainability is noteworthy.
I loved all the photos. This place has a special place in my heart as during my childhood, we visited here many times whenever we had my cousins, brothers came to stay at our home in Mumbai. Very nostalgic indeed.
Thanks for sharing @MayuriKubal . You’re a great narrator, please keep posting here.
Very true… Vasudaiva Kutumbakam celebrates “The whole world is our family”. Thanks a ton for your lovely words and notable observations… Yes, it was way too amazing for kids, I did play with some, actually I visited with my cousin who took good pictures of me and I did capture some myself. And the best part was this trip was soon after the Creator Conversations at Google, so I could show him our Google goodies too.
I loved your appreciation style too You are a gem of a person, so very blessed to have your constant support. It means a lot indeed Yes, being a nature lover makes me explore such exhibition and being a Local Guide makes me post about it. A truly fun and learn experience I am glad I took you down the memory lane. And, thanks a ton for those encouraging words
