The Thurston Gardens park becomes a fantastic place when the flame trees are in bloom. The reds are so vibrant that you have to pinch yourself to believe that it is real. The park is home to all kinds of interesting plants and flowers and the insects that they attract. Also, if you are lucky you will see a mongoose or two sniffing around for a quick snack.
