This Gulmohur tree is one of the popular tree in India especially in region I live in , Bangalore , India
Especially for nature lovers you just cannot miss it because during spring the flowers are in full bloom and a group of these trees together is a treat for the eyes and is known as the Flame of the Forest.
The origin of this species of tree is supposed to be from Madagascar.
The above cluster of the beautiful red flower was captured from the tree just outside my house. It spreads a brilliant red canopy and the tree gives a lot of shade. It is an ideal place for birds nesting and the squirrels have a gala time . There are various medicinal properties the tree provides like for constipation, inflammation , arthritis and many more
The leaves are was so beautiful , so symmetrical and a two tone contrast of green.
All the pictures were captured by me with my Redmi4 smart phone and my Canon Sx170.
I would like you local guides to post the popular tree in your country or region in the comments section. Thank you

@Dinakar1 @BorrisS I love these trees when they Bloom. I have lots of photos taken in different location.
What hurts me is, these trees are not planted properly and they are mutilated often by different agencies for different reasons.
They are locally called MAY FLOWER.
BANGALORE is a place for lot of Flowering Trees and I posted few in this forum.

@GeorgeEPremkumar very true. The authorities like Bescom, BSNL are the main culprits and mercilessly chop any tree , which they feel is their path.

Hello @GeorgeEPremkumar ,
Thank you for sharing these details with us.
Indeed these trees are very beautiful and it’s a shame when they are removed for whatever reason.
We should preserve nature, and the rest should simply adapt to it, instead of the contrary.
