So today my husband and me went on a cycling adventure that wasn’t planned but kind of random. Google maps helped me to confirm that the road we were about to take wasn’t a dead road and that we would actually go somewhere (a close town from where we are), however, given the lack of signal at some points of the road and that my crappy cellphone, -desperately asking to be replaced- turned off without notice at 30 something percent battery and didn’t come back to life, the road traced by Google as the route we took, was completely inaccurate. Is there a way to edit it or retrace it? I didn’t use Strava because of the battery limitation. I just would like to know how many kilometers we rode and I want the route shown to be the one we actually took.

I think there are a few issues here @Caro930
- poor signal - you can download the map offline and use the directions without your data or phone service being turned on - this can be good to conserve battery
- for poor battery or low power phones Google Go might be a better option than the main Google Maps app - its designed for these situations
- poor routing - you can always suggest a route update at the end of navigation by answering with the unhappy smiley face and Maps will ask you about improving the route - you can also send feedback at any time within the Maps app
