Hello Fishers!
I’m new here and have previously been in St. Louis, MO and Bengaluru, KA. About a month in here and so far I’ve learned about the Indy 500, which is far from a visit for the season and then a Soldiers and Sailors Monument in the Indy Downtown. Can you help me with your local recommendations for a few places I can explore this winter and then a few must-visits in the summer?
Thank you already!

I’ve discovered a Potters Bridge at Noblesville so far yet. I’m certain there’s so much more here but not documented.
I keep trying but the images keep rotating on their own! ?
Hi @aintSaintPeter ,
I hope you’re enjoying your time in Indiana! That’s really one of those places that gets easily overlooked when tourists are travelling through the states.
What made you decide to visit this part specifically?
About your photos, they can sometimes seem to have a mind of their own. One thing that often works for me is to actually rotate them on the side before I upload them so they appear correctly in the post. You might need to play around with this a bit.

Hi @MortenSI !
A few years ago, while passing by Indiana I stopped at the Indiana Dunes for day and liked it then. It certainly was a large detour but I didn’t realize then that I just visited what probably might be the only big attraction of Indiana, if not the biggest!
I have moved over to Indiana as part of my newest assignment and scheduled to be here for a while.
I tried a few combinations but they refuse to straighten up! Talk about being stubborn! If only I could rotate them inline.
Regards,
@aintSaintPeter

That’s so cool @aintSaintPeter , I didn’t realise you actually moved there.
I hope you’ve had a chance to explore a bit and get to know the locals. Have you discovered anything that really surprised you yet?
The behaviour of these photos can sometimes lead to a lot of frustration @aintSaintPeter , but unfortunately there is no way we can rotate them withing Connect yet. It has actually been suggested here in the Idea Exchange, so you can go and vote for the idea if you wish.

I haven’t done enough exploring that I would like to but with the current weather fluctuations I don’t think I’ll be brave enough to do something before spring is here! I’m hoping to find a few recommendations so I can line up my evenings and especially weekends in the summer.
Thanks for the recommendation of the idea in the exchange. I did vote for it but I see it’s already closed and the last moderator comment mentions that the feature can’t yet be introduced for the photo crop and orientation options. I guess we’ll have to wait for this to get more popular.
Are you from around Indy too, @MortenSI ?

I’m not from the US at all @aintSaintPeter , I’m actually from Denmark. I’ve visited the states once and travelled through some of the most hyped places, but ever since then I’ve just been very curious about the lesser touristic places like Indiana for example. I would love to take a long trip again someday but then visit some of these places that tourists don’t always come through.
Regarding the idea, we’ve closed it because it’s not something the team can pursue at the moment. However, we are always interested in seeing how many votes the ideas can get, and we can always go back and have a second look at closed ideas.
Oh neat! You must have visited a ton of places and a lot experiences to share!, @MortenSI ! If you’re ever down in Indiana, give us a shout out. Maybe we could organize a local guides connect around it!
I have just begun listing out recommendations based on another thread I opened elsewhere but I intend to keep growing it with help from everyone! A Map listing. I hope this helps another soul like me.

I try to do as much travelling as I can @aintSaintPeter , but I always end up with a long weekend in a big city somewhere since that’s easier to plan. The longer trips will require a lot more planning so I’m still trying to figure out where to go first.
Thank you I will keep that i mind, it could be a lot of fun!
