I want to ask you guys how if fish BBQ ( barbecue) done in your locality.

Here I know about Tuna fish, mackerel fish.

But in my area we normally use Cat fish for barbecue . I don’t know why. But I guess it is because it is ready available and it can grow to any size as you like if you continue to grow it in your fish farm.

Do you guys know about cat fish, I read and watched in NatGeowild that it is an invasive species in Europe?. I also need clarification from the above statements from you LGs.

Please do not be angry because of my many questions. I just desire to learn and also I desire to hear from thehorse’s mouth.

Hi @Austinelewex thanks a lot for tagging me in this nice post. In our country catfish are eaten as curry. We make spicy curry of catfish with or without vegetables. It tastes nice with rice. Sometimes we also eat fry catfish. But it is not very much common. Normally curry is common. In Bangladesh we like to eat local catfish which are small in size and not big like the African catfish. Local catfish is very popular here. Personally I do not like fish BBQ, because the smell of BBQ fish does not seem good to me. But many people like it. Fish BBQ is gettin popular very recent in our country.

@SabbirShawon thanks for sharing this nice post. All of my family members are very much fond of eating Tuna fish. Your photos of Tuna makes me hungry . I have a small post on Tuna which you can see here. Thanks.

@Austinelewex Wels catfish is a native fish in Europe and Romania and reaches huge size, lives in freshwater rivers and lakes.
near my town is the Danube river, Wels catfish that live there reach 100kg piece, is fishing as a trophy for sport fishermen

The brown bullhead that I think you were talking about was introduced over a hundred years ago in some states of Europe, there are some areas in my country but I have not noticed serious problems
The existence of a negative impact caused by this species has not been established, however, the introduction of this species of fish in open water is forbidden in the vast majority of European countries.

fish is my favorites dishes, check my posted in Fresh-Salmon-from-the-Kitchen yeyy… actually cooking seafood is simpe, lemon, ginger and salt is the point of the recipe. The most important is we get a fresh seafood. it is enough. but in my hometown it is difficult because we are far from the sea…
