Hi @Stanucious ,

Lovely! Where in Netherlands is this? I’ve only been to Amsterdam for New Years and it was very rainy and windy. But a great town nevertheless.

Hello @Stanucious ,

Happy first snow of 2019! Thank you for sharing these pretty photos with us, however it would have been better if you added few details.

Is it common to have snow in this area? I’m asking this question because I know that there are few places where even though it’s cold, it never snows.

@Stanucious It looks really nice. Thank you for sharing this!

I went to Amsterdam last October and it was already very cold for me, I can’t even imagine how cold it must be.

Here in Buenos Aires it feels like 43°C so I wish I was in the Netherlands, I prefer the cold.

Hi @Stanucious ,

Wow, just beautiful! Thanks for sharing these snow photos in Hengelo. I have to admit, I also prefer the colder weather. I was grateful though, for the African heat during the Christmas holidays. Do you prefer hot or cold weather @Stanucious ?

This is what a typical winter looks like in Sofia, Bulgaria. To me, this is pure bliss!

Hi@alexaAC,

To be honest i think everyone prefer the hot weather because when its warm here, everybody is outside enjoying the sun, maybe with some beer, wine or coffee but when it snows you see nobody outside, everyone stays indoors… you can see the difference, hahahahaha. Anyway i have a lot of burgerian friends, they always want me to go with them to visit Sofia. I think its a lovely city

That would be an awesome trip, trust me! Sofia welcomes you! It has loads to offer and my Dutch friends here absolutely love it! It is lovely indeed.

We also had some snow in Belgium @Stanucious but it melted quite quickly.

But good to see some activity from the Netherlands here - I get the impression that this is quite rare on the Connect forum. At this moment I am trying to figure out if any local guide from the Netherlands would be interested in joining the European Meet-up in Belgium in June

Please have a look and feel free to also share this info with other local guides.
