In my occupation, I got lucky with the opportunity to travel the world. What I like very much in each country, city or neighborhood is to discover where are the locals or what they like and to be part of the ambiance of the place I’m visiting.
I have friends all over the world and they all know that I love good food and would mind walking even two hours for it, although I never tell them because then they will stop.
I got the opportunity to visit Avignon for 5 weeks and I was sure there are good places to eat here.
Good place for me is that the price fit the dish, the concept of the restaurant, how helpful and friendly the waitresses, location of the restaurant, if it’s not too loud or too quiet and of course manly locals.
It took me a few days until I found the right places for me, they have here very different opening hours, each restaurant has different days as well so after I figure this out I start to plan my week according to when a place is open. Some are closed on Sunday, some on Monday and some open only 3 days a week, but usually most of the things open from 7:00-22:00 so it’s a good time for dinner.
I’m not much of a writer so I’ll just put here some of the places with unedited photos of the dishes I have been, some are fancy some are much less but in all of them I had a good time and good food:
