Never done a post before so talk about low effort from me! A full commitment’s what I’m thinking of but because I’m lazy this isn’t going to be long. I don’t want to read 5 bazillion paragraphs on how great the local coffee shop is that it sources their own coffee beans from an isolated hillside in Guatemala, using trained tortoises to chew the coffee cherries at just the right moment, then slowly ramble to a glacial fed spring where they poop out the gently digested and perfectly flavoured raw bean for blah blah blah. I get it, some people like that and you’d get that detail from them but this post. This post. You wouldn’t get this from any other guy.
Gonna just say it even if it’s blatant sucking up: I LOVE checking Google for reviews, the more reviews a place had the more trustworthy a place seems at first glance (unless 40 ratings and 39 of which are 5* and 1 is 2* - you know friends and family have gotten in on the reviews there. Or worse, “encouraging” the employees to review…). This is where this community just surpasses anything else I’ve seen - connecting the area and your location, with reviews and information about the place.
Give me a break if I’ve missed the mark but it’s my first post and I’m after seeing if I can get a trip to the Google Connect Live. As part of this, I have to write a post here and submit a video link amongst other things. You know the rules and so do I, I figure this post just about covers it. Hardly a how-to on post writing but as mentioned in the title, reading this probably gives you information on how not to!
You know I’m just an average Joe (or Phil in this case) that likes to share a little about where I’ve been and likes to find out from other Google guides a little more about the areas or places I’m going to or plan to go visit. I’m sure there’s so much more this community can and does do but I guess I’m getting the benefit out of it that I need and feeling useful
Up to the Google folks I suppose, this is about all I have to say but in the end I’ve used Google for as long as I can remember now, it’s like we’ve known each other for so long. Regardless of whoever came before or is yet to come, I just can’t seem to find those words but I just wanna tell you how I’m feeling. Gotta make you understand…
