First Physical-cum-Virtual Meet-up after Covid-19 lockdown by Chennai LGs - Team India

Here is our long-awaited Virtual-cum-Physical Meet-up!!!

This collaborative post is written on behalf of the host LG @Gurukrishnapriya , co-hosts LG @Deepak_Sundar (who was instrumental in planning & organising this meet) & me.

Your supports only can ensure the success of this mission; hence request you to kindly attend & make the meet-up successful.

Once the pandemic started last year, all the LGs cancelled almost all the meet-ups; now that things are coming under control in India, we have planned for the first Physical-cum-Virtual Meet-up, in Tamil Nadu, observing all the protocols directed by the Govt.; we hope this will inspire more LGs to organise more meet-ups.

Aim of the meet-up:

To help the local fishermen, listen to their stories, adding their business in Google maps & conduct a Photo walk to capture their real-life-activities.

What type of meet-up will be this?:

Physical meet-up for local LGs of Chennai & Virtual meet-up for all other LGs, including global LGs.

Why this location - Brocken Bridge?:

The early morning ‘Golden-Hour’ is when the Fishermen along the sea coast will be bustling with the business of their fresh catch. One can have the idea of the life of those Fishermen - How they toil to get their businesses done?

We, as Local Guides, can help those Fishermen, by adding their business in Google Maps.

We can also have a photo walk of the panoramic view of the sea.

Though this is mainly a physical event, the virtual session will be open to Local Guides through Google Meet.

Date: Sunday the 21st of March 2021.

Time for physical meet-up: 06:30 to 09:30 IST,

Time for virtual meet-up: 08:30 to 09:30 IST.
