I’ve posted the “first photo” for a few places now, and it still shows that I have no contributions for this. When you click on the place, no photo shows at all, but when you click on my photo it shows that it is for that place. This has happened multiple times now. Who would be the person to contact to get this resolved?
I have already verified that there are no other photos, not even by the owner. The place is Mid America Surgery Institute: Tackett Russell E MD. You can Google it to see there is no photo. If you click on the one review (mine), and go to the pictures, you will see that there is a photo there for this location.
The photo is public and has 45 views, so I know it is showing on Maps. It was added in November, well over 24 hours. I have several photos, and already familiar with how to add, remove, and share. I am highly computer literate. This is a Google issue, not something on my end.

I have the same problem I think, I added some photes as a first photo at new place, I can see them in my photos but I have no contributions. How can I improve that or what can I do ?

Thank you, but that forum did not answer the question .I started there before asking the question here. It sounds like Google simply has no actual solution for a consistent problem such as this. @PoliMC
It is now over a month later, and I just added a new place to maps with the first photo. Still nothing. I assume this is just not an important issue for Google to resolve, but it is really frustrating being in the top 5% of guides in my city, but can’t even reach the next badge because my first photo never seems to be recognized.
It is nothing that I am doing wrong, seeing how the photos are all set to public, and the ONLY photo associated with that location. None of the “experts” on here seem to know how to fix this either, and just direct you somewhere else because they don’t have a solution.
Again, literally the only photo, and it still shows that I have not added the first photo to anywhere, yet, this is about the third time that I have but nothing happened. It’s as if this feature has been deactivated or something. It updated that I added a new place, but first photo is still zero. Also, I am aware that it takes time for the change to take place.
The first photos that I posted in the past were months ago, and it still shows no contributions to unlock this badge (yes, I have already fulfilled the other two requirements to unlock the badge). There is a glitch with this feature, and/or badge.
Please bear in mind that some of your contributions may be marked as private if they do not adhere to our policies (reviews, photos and videos, community) or are not high-quality contributions.
I understand. I mentioned in the above post that these are not private, but public. They have been viewed over 100 times, which further confirms that the posts are not private. This is a Google issue that seems to have no solution.
I’m not sure what “high quality contributions” means. Can you elaborate? This was a very high quality picture. It is a picture of a park for a park, so not breaking any guidelines, either. The pictures are clear, and I am in the top 5% in my city, so I am adhering to the guidelines and constantly contributing “high quality” content.
The first photo is the only area that is not working properly. If you click on the link from the original post, you will be able to see the photo, and that it is the only picture for that location/place.
