Fire Zone on Google Maps

Investigating Google Maps, I find which I think is a useful fantastic and always an step forward new feature (please let my know if I’m wrong, and this is not so new).

At least in my country unfortunately, every summer is more and more common to see on the news fires on any zone of my loved Argentina.

Some of this fires are really huge and difficult to control.

To identify if there are fires on your zone, or the place you are going to visit, you have the opportunity to set the layer of FIRES and after that an icon of a fire and short description of the place and the situation of the disaster will appear.

Have you notice this layer and feature?

Thanks for reading!

Hi @SebaasC

Thanks for posting.

Here is a Google blog post from 2020:

But rolling out is likely still ongoing.

Hola Maxi! Gracias por comentar.

Podes buscar en cualquier lugar del planeta donde haya focos de incendio y te muestra similar información.

Fíjate que hay también un incendio del lado Chileno muy cerca de donde muestro yo ele ejemplo.
