Every city has hidden treasures, and that is why I am proud to be a local guide: I can show people these secrets.
I won’t lie, I started this whole thing because of the one terabyte free space promotion campaign back in 2015. As I started to upload pictures I realized that I was more interested in showing places that are not only about local businesses, shops, restaurants, but hidden locations where people can see my beloved city, Budapest in a different perspective. Little hidden spots that are away from the frequented tourist crowded places, but with beautiful views. My pictures started to gain views and that convinced me that people are interested in what I do.
The other thing I like to do as a local guide is posting pictures about the food in the restaurants where I eat, and give reviews. I usually name the server if he or she gave us exceptional service, so the managers can have a positive feedback of their collegues.
So overall I am proud to be a local guide because I can help people to better know my city wether it is a hidden lookout point or a great restaurant. With my contribution I can make their visit a better experience.
