I love trees and green forests, when I go to a botanical garden or forest, I am fascinated by the natural beauty and the peaceful appearance of the earth, the soul seems to be absorbed and enthusiastic. Trees help us to survive with oxygen and shade; and makes this earth more beautiful. In truly, now a days we are using woods a lots to build our houses, furniture’s as a result, we’re losing green forest, to shade and protect heat from the sun.
Today, I will share about a botanical garden in our city, yesterday I visited national Botanic Garden at Mirpur, Dhaka. I am pleased to see the accessibility facilities in the botanic garden, so would like to share my experience with other local guides; if anyone wants to visit the garden it may help for them. The main entrance of the garden is fully accessible for the wheelchair users. The walk ways inside the garden are nicely joint with each other’s those are perfect for wheelchair users, so wheelchair users also can pass a great time and enjoy in the garden.
The information according to the Botanical Garden authority displayed at garden; the Botanical Garden was established during the year1962-1963 with 215 acre (around 87 Hectors) of land. It owns near 68 thousand of botanic, including Trees, Shrubs, Herbs.
Now it’s a biggest botanic garden in the capital city and a great source of Oxygen and shade for us. Everyday lots of people visit this garden.
It’s open from Sunrise to Sunset each day; so, anyone can visit the garden with a valid ticket for 20 BDT and kids under 2Y is free.
