Finally I got it !!! My Covid-19 Vaccination

There has been lots of speculation and propaganda surrounding this. It has taken me time and lots of consideration as well. The roll out has been in stages though, even at that I was reluctant to go for it.

The news came this week that the roll out has been extended and that it’s just a few miles from my residence in Lagos. This is my chance I felt. So I discussed it with my colleagues and I decided to go for it and be done with it. So i did !!!

I thought I might even indicate the place on the map as a vaccination centre, but it’s a mobile arrangement not a permanent place. I indicated that in my review tot the place anyway. That might help anyone who sees it or is looking for a vaccination centre in Lagos. The scheme or idea is to reach out to different communities in Lagos at different times seeing the vaccine is not enough.

So i went down to the health centre and that’s it. We got our details taken down and in a few seconds my first shot of AstraZeneca jab was taken.

The nurses gave me a full assurance that the reactions were quite rare and mild if any. I was asked to sit and wait for at least 20 minutes before driving back home. I also got my vaccination card with the next date of appointment for the second dose of the jab. Still observing though, otherwise no reactions yet. Wonder how many local guides in Nigeria have gotten the jab? May I even ask further how many of us local guides have been vaccinated? Feel free to share your own experience with us. This is mine and this is me.

Cheers

Thank you very much for sharing these informations!

I got my first dose of vaccine in the doctor’s office last Tuesday, the 11st of May 2021. :syringe:

I am vaccinated with Biontech.

My left upper arm hurt a little bit for one day. I don’t had any other side effects. :grinning:

I’ll get my second dose of vaccine six weeks later, on the 22nd of June 2021.

Many greetings from Hamburg, Germany! :grinning: :de:
